Material didáctico
An essential feature of our work lies in the preparation of teacher’s dossiers for each of our plays. These dossiers are carefully put together by FTE’s specialist team of pedagogues, English teachers and illustrators, adapting the teaching material to the different teaching levels and the Spanish education system.
The dossiers can be classified into four levels: nursery school and first stage of primary education, second and third stages of primary education, and, finally, secondary education, further education/professional training and the final year of high school. Within each level there is a range of activities suitable for mixed ability groups and students with varying levels of English so that the teacher in question can choose those activities which best suit his or her students. In every instance activities are prepared for before, during and after the performance.
Each teacher’s pack is made up of two parts:
· A text CD on which can be found a variety of activities such as a plot synposis, the song lyrics, some singing and dancing steps, drawings, dialogues taken from some of the scenes from the plays, or a series of fun games and activities for use in class to introduce and put into practice the new vocabulary. All of the dossiers include a full set of instructions and an exercise answer key for the teacher.
· An audio CD, one hundred percent faithful to the play itself, to be used hand-in-hand with some of the activities proposed in the teacher’s pack. There are listening comprehension activities, dialogues and songs; we have also inluded a karaoke version of a few of the songs for the students to be able to practise more effectively in class and then they can sing along in the theatre.
We are sure that these packs will achieve their main objective: to serve as support for the teaching staff whilst assisting the students.
