EDMUND AND CLEOPATRA, a sticky story of love in Ancient Egypt
After achieving fame and success in the world of theatre, Edmund Shakespeare- Shakespeare’s stupidest brother- decides to travel the world and broaden his intellectual horizons.
In Cairo Edmund meets an enigmatic young lady, schooled in the arts persuasion and elegance. She turns out to be a direct descendant of Cleopatra VII, the last Queen of Ancient Egypt, and lover of the Roman general Mark Antony.
She will try to persuade Edmund to write a play about her, boasting of and immortalising her beauty, just as happened with her ancestor. Edmund sees himself caught under the young maiden’s spell, but he is unable to write the play as she would like because he is not really the gifted playwright she believes him to be.
A work revolving around the most mysterious tragedies of the renowned William Shakespeare, which aims to recreate human passions in a humorous way on an everyday level.
